A giving of a tenth of personal income.
Malachi 3:8 says
Will a man rob God? Yes In tithes and offerings.
ON a side note-- I’ll further add that I know I have robbed God with my time, love and serving Him.
After that question and conviction-God gives a promise of blessing-
He says to Bring your tithe to him, again it’s defined as a whole tenth of your income-
(Your “offering” is what you decide to give above and beyond that 10%)
And he says to watch and see, that he will open the windows of heaven for you and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
In Malachi 3:11 God also states that he will rebuke the devourer for our sake.
I know when God speaks that it’s not with a flippant attitude that we sometimes have, he speaks with purpose ALWAYS-- and I’ll further add he speaks because he loves us.
Let’s put this all together in a short summary:
God requires us to tithe--
He also says that he will reprimand the devourer and
He states he will pour out blessings.
Steps to being blessed,
They sound simple right?
All of this requires FAITH
I have held back on stating Many of my beliefs for years because I was afraid -
Not that God would not do what he says but that I was the one not upholding my end.
I didn’t want to embarrass Or be a bad witness for God.
God has reminded me that the largest men of Faith in the Bible were risk takers who messed up big time!
They failed on their own, then turned to God in faith for redemption and he blessed mightily.
So here it is-another Weekend where I’m giving you my thoughts, pouring my heart out to God, and praying that you grow your faith so that God can bless you “Brobdingnagian” style --
(My impressive word for the day-meaning giant, large 😜)
